US Rolling At President's Cup

width=It wasn't exciting until the very end. And even that ended with a US victory. The United States rolled early and often during the first day of the 2015 Presidents Cup. In fact, the International side only held a lead in one of the five matches.

Jason Day and Steven Bowditch got frisky late against Phil Mickelson and Zach Johnson, but it wasn't nearly enough for a completely outclassed International team that went down 4-1 after the first day of play in South Korea.

The long-hitting US team of Holmes and Watson birdied four of the first five holes and six total in just 16 holes. Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott just had no chance when Holmes and Watson were hitting putts like they were.

For the US, Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker birdied three of the first four holes.

Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth turned up the heat on the back nine. It was far too much for Danny Lee and Marc Leishman to take. Lee actually chunked a chip on the final hole of the match and Leishman couldn't pour in a putt from 50 feet.
