State Officials To Be in Clinton Friday for Flag Ceremony

The Illinois Lt. Governor, Rep. Bill Mitchell, and State Sen. Chapin Rose are scheduled to be among the dignitaries in Clinton Friday morning for a special American flag ceremony.

According to Mayor Roger Cyrulik, the Daughters of the American Revolution along with the Clinton Auxiliary Unit 103 will host the leaders to rally support for honoring the American flag on a daily basis.

Mayor Cyrulik hopes to begin a movement of understanding of why the American flag is important to the country and why it should be in schools and communities across the country.

Lt. Gov. Evelyn Sanguinetti, Sen. Chapin Rose and Rep. Bill Mitchell will be on the square. The ceremony starts at 9 am.
