Clinton IGA's latest addition to their store, Michael's Gourmet Popcorn Shoppe, held a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday morning.

Michael's is located in the corner of the deli/bakery area of the grocery store on Van Buren Street. Veronica Luster says they offer gourmet popcorn varieties at a lower cost to the consumer. Along with various popcorns, they also do caramel apples and chocolate covered pretzels.

While Michael's will certainly cater to individuals and their needs, Luster indicates they hope to work with community groups for fundraising. She adds they can also do catering for parties or weddings.

Michael's Gourmet Popcorn Shoppe is just one of the many changes at Clinton IGA. They have recently finished a project to go all LED inside and plans are underway to begin changing the lighting outside as well.
