Rauner Gets Deal Done With Three Unions

The Governor has labor deal with some of the unions that represent state workers.

His administration says today that a tentative four year agreement is done between the state and the International Union of Operating Engineers, the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry, and the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers.

The agreement will need to be ratified by the workers covered by those unions. Those unions represent a few hundred workers.

Rauner still has an expired labor contract with AFSCME covering 30,000 state employees.
