You’ve seen the commercials if you watch sports on TV or listen to games on the radio. And now a pair of democratic Illinois Lawmakers are proposing regulations for fantasy sports websites like DraftKings and Fan Duel.

State Representative Mike Zalewski and Senator Kwame Raoul don’t want to label the sites gambling. But says the companies need policies for audits and baring employees from competing.

Zalewski says he isn’t trying to shut the sites down, rather just looking for a way to make sure they are operating fairly.

The legislation would prohibit individuals younger than 18 to play, but it would not seek to tax the sites to bump up revenue for the state.
