The Clinton Maroons football team is in the playoffs for the first time in 11 years.

The Maroons are back in the postseason after a wild, come from behind win over Sullivan Okaw Valley last Friday night. Maroons head coach John Hayden called the atmosphere from the Sullivan game "electric" and "playoff like".

Coach Hayden says the team all year has had the playoffs as their goal and is glad to see the hard work they've put in pay off for them.

The Maroons battle Althoff Catholic at Lindenwood University in Belleville. Game time is at 7:30 pm Saturday.
