College Football Rankings Remain Largely Unchanged; OK State Up To No. 6

width=The third edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings was released Tuesday night, and it should come as no surprise that there was some shakeup in bottom half of the top 10 after four teams in that portion of the rankings (Baylor, Stanford, LSU, Utah) lost last week.

The top five teams in last week's rankings came away unscathed, though. Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Iowa all won games they should have by reasonable margins. None of the wins were the kind that move the needle, so there was no change in the order of those teams.

Oklahoma State was the lone survivor of the group right below that last week, but it wasn't easy. The Cowboys had to come back from 17 points down in the fourth quarter at Iowa State to stay unbeaten. They moved up two spots to No. 6 in this week's rankings, which is where they should have been last week.

Oklahoma jumped ahead of Florida for the No. 7 spot in the rankings.
