Congressman Rodney Davis last month announced his intention to begin addressing the problem of student loan debts in America.

Congressman Davis says the average American college student will graduate with nearly $30-thousand of debt from student loans. He says that is a problem that needs to be addressed.

Congressman Davis is proposing legislation that would allow graduates to pay down their debt with pre-tax dollars. He notes this legislation has bipartisan support.

To promote the legislation, Davis recently made appearances at the University of Illinois, Illinois State University, and the University of Illinois at Springfield.
