If you are a veteran, senior citizen/shut in or emergency service worker on duty during this Thanksgiving holiday, you are encouraged to take advantage of meals being provided through the County's veteran groups.

The Am Vets of DeWitt County, the American Legion and VFW are teaming up to provide free meals on Thanksgiving Day.

The meals can be picked up or delivered and it will originate from the Wishbone in Clinton. Organizers stress there will be no in house meals, all meals are picked up or delivered.

Organizers also ask, if possible, those who will be wanting meals to contact the VFW at 217-935-4032 and leave a message with your requests prior to Thursday's holiday.
