Sen. Rose Calling Out Local Representatives To Chide Madigan

Yesterday on Regional Radio News, a local lawmaker outlined a bipartisan effort to move budget talks forward, only to be stalled by Speaker Mike Madigan.

Today, Sen. Chapin Rose is blasting the Speaker for holding up progress and says there are things can be done locally. Sen. Rose says a lot of people in Springfield finally started acting like adults and began working towards common sense reforms.

According to Sen. Rose, Speaker Madigan did not appreciate leaders cut a deal without. He says he was using that as a reason to shut down negotiations.

Sen. Rose is calling on local representatives in central Illinois that voted Madigan as Speaker to step up and inform him of the impacts his recent actions are going to have on their districts.

Sen. Rose says Madigan is "showing everyone who's boss" through all this.

He adds, there is a petition throughout Illinois to implement term limits, which Sen. Rose says would effectively get remove Speaker Madigan of his post.
