Local business owner Jay Peterson, of Peterson Insurance in Clinton, has been nominated to the Independent Insurance Agents Regional Board.

Peterson says the board serves a liason between the board and it's members. He was selected by his peers in a roughly 13 county area.

Peterson says it means a lot to be selected by his peers in central Illinois.

The term is a two year term for Peterson and indicates he's undecided if he'll seek another term after the expiration of this one.
