 width=Mt. Pulaski used a second quarter outburst to get past Cerro Gordo Bement Friday night 55-46.

The Hilltoppers outscored CGB 19-8 for a 35-18 lead at the intermission and led by as many as 20 in the third quarter.

The Broncos were within 11 late in the third and cut the lead to 9 late in the fourth, however, CGB couldn't take advantage of good looks on the offensive end and missed free throws by Mt. Pulaski in the 4th.

The Broncos were led by Frankie Foran’s 17 points. Foran exploded for nine points in the third in leading CGB back into the game.

Joe Tenney had 11 points.

Mt. Pulaski was led by Gezuz Oliver with 12.

Cerro Gordo Bement falls to 0-2.
