The Clinton Police Department has rolled out a pair of new vehicles.

The new Ford Interceptors are custom made for the department and Police Chief Ben Lowers indicates the vehicles were planned purchases as they try to keep their fleet as up to date as possible.

The Interceptor is going to be a welcome addition to the updated equipment law enforcement officials use in today's world. Chief Lowers says the bigger vehicle is welcome with computers, video equipment and the usual guns and radar eqiupment inside as well.

Chief Lowers says because of the versatility of the sport utility like vehicles, he believes they could become more trendy in the law enforcement world
