4-H Year Underway in DeWitt County

The 4-H year is already underway in DeWitt County but the organizations leader says it's not too late to join.

Sherry Fulton is the Youth Educator at the University of Illinois Extension office in DeWitt County and helps lead the program locally. She indicates even though the year is underway, it is not too late for any interested youth to become involved.

Fulton says there are so many benefits to having kids in 4-H and the stigma that you have to live in the rural parts of the area to be a part of 4-H is just not accurate.

According to Fulton, youth that participate in 4-H are more likely to attend a college or university and says it paves the path for success in the future.
