Rams put on a show for St. Louis fans, Win over Buccaneers

If this proves to be the last Rams home game in St. Louis, at least the local fans got treated to quite the show. It wasn't the Greatest Show on Turf out there, but for a few quarters it was as explosive and as dominant as this group has looked all season.

The Rams slowed down as the game went along and almost let the Buccaneers work their way back into it, but their hot start ultimately proved too much for Jameis Winston's charges to overcome. St. Louis jumped out quickly to a 14-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game on a pair of touchdown passes from Case Keenum (who finished the night with a perfect 158.3 passer rating, by the way), and the Rams were working ahead of the eight ball the rest of the way.

The first of those TD tosses was a quick screen to Tavon Austin, who benefited from great blocking and poor tackling, but the second was a beautiful 60-yard strike down the left sideline to Kenny Britt, who burned his man on a double move before waltzing into the end zone and handing the ball to his daughter in the stands.

The Rams added another touchdown in the second quarter on a short run from Todd Gurley, while the Bucs managed only a field goal on five first-half drives. Down 21-3 and needing to come back quickly, Tampa Bay opened things up for Winston in the second half -- in which he threw for 313 yards, two touchdowns and a pick -- but it ultimately was too little, too late.

The Rams were up by double-figures for much of the evening, and so the crowd's attention often strayed from the game in front of them and to the fact that this may very well have been the team's final game in their city. Chants of "KEEP THE RAMS!" broke out on multiple occasions during the second half.
