A strong defensive effort carried the Gibson City Melvin Sibley Falcons past a cold shooting Blue Ridge Knights team Tuesday for a 62-59 win and a third place finish.
The Knights were just 2-14 from three on the night and turned the ball over 19 times, leading to 28 GCMS points.
Both teams are 8-4 on the year with Heart of Illinois Conference action up next.
Chase Zimmerman led Blue Ridge with 21 points and 13 rebounds, and was an All Tournament selection. Lindi Balazi had 16 points, five rebounds and four assists and Dylan Lytel added 13 points and five boards.
Isaac Trotter had nine rebounds for Blue Ridge.
Balazi was also named to the All Tournament Team.
Mitchell McNutt led GCMS with 23 points. Keegan Allen added 14 points and five boards. Tucker Cribbett had 11 points.
