Decatur St. Teresa has announced the hiring of Hall of Famer Coach Mark Ramsey to be the next head football coach.
Ramsey was the coach at Central A&M for 21 years, retiring in 2013 after accumulating a record of 179-63, winning a state title with the Raiders in 1997 and had four seasons as state runner-up.
Most recently, Ramsey coached at Shelbyville, accumulating a 17-12 record in three seasons and leading the Rams to two state playoff appearances.
Ramsey's hiring comes on the heels of the school announcing Tim Brilley's resignation back in early November.
