Clinton BOE President Says One Cent Sales Tax Guarantees Support

 width=A proposal by the Clinton Board of Education to take a sales tax increase to referendum has the support of the Clinton Board of Education President.

John Blythe leads the elected Board and says any time you can guarantee support without having to raise other taxes is a good thing. He explains the funds received from the tax go towards facilities in the district.

According to Blythe, the additional tax will not fall on just those that reside in the County. He explains the tax is designed to utilize the dollars spent from those who pass through the community taking advantage of the services from offered here.

Blythe points out the one-cent tax is in place in counties across the area and doesn't believe it will create a hardship for residents.
