Children's Advocacy Centers Report Great Participation For Annual Blue Kids Trees

The leaders of the area's Child Advocacy Centers are praising their local communities for stepping up and helping them this past holiday season.

The Children's Advocacy Center serves McLean, DeWitt and Livingston Counties and their leader, Judy Brucker says they are beyond thankful for the communities providing them with needed items during their latest Blue Kids drive.

Brucker says the generosity of the communities allows them to provide basic need items for their clients and their families. She says it includes items like gas cards to get to counseling or laundry detergent and pillows and sheets.

Brucker says last year their gifts held them through about three-quarters of the year and she hopes that can be the same this year thanks to the generosity of their servicing communities.

To get the agency through the remainder of the year, they work with the Child Protection Network works to provide them with the necessary things they might need.
