>>Browns Hire Hue Jackson

For the fifth time in seven years, the Cleveland Browns have a new head coach. The team announced on Wednesday that former Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson has been hired to fill the vacancy.

Jackson was expected to fly to New York on Wednesday to meet with the Giants about their opening. However, the Browns made sure that didn't happen. The team offered Jackson a contract before he could leave town.

width=Jackson told NFL.com that he chose the Browns because, "They made me feel comfortable."

Jackson had been with the Bengals since 2012.

>>Giants Expected To Name McAdoo Head Coach

The Giants are expected to name Ben McAdoo their next head coach Thursday, according to a league source.

The team's offensive coordinator has been a strong candidate throughout the process and was impressive in his interview. The team wants to keep him with quarterback Eli Manning and believes in his vision for the offense.

McAdoo, 38, is likely to promote from within to fill the soon-to-be vacant offensive coordinator position. He worked closely with defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and could keep him on as well with pressure on GM Jerry Reese to improve the roster, particularly on the defensive side of the ball.

Before his tenure with the Giants, McAdoo worked with the Packers for eight seasons, coaching the quarterbacks in 2012 and 2013 after six seasons as the tight ends coach. He has served as the Giants' offensive coordinator for the past two seasons.

>>Marshawn Lynch Full Go in Wednesday Practice

After surprisingly missing last week's wild card game against the Minnesota Vikings, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, the team announced on its official website.

Head coach Pete Carroll cautioned against taking that as a sign that Lynch would definitely suit up for this week's divisional game against the No. 1-seeded Carolina Panthers, though.

Carroll said quote-"We're going to go day to day."

Lynch was also listed as a full participant in all three of last week's practices before being declared out for Sunday's game late Friday night.

Lynch has been out since mid-November after getting surgery for a sports hernia. Thomas Rawls filled in for him -- and outperformed him -- early on, but since Rawls broke his ankle in Week 14, the combination of Christine Michael, Bryce Brown, and Fred Jackson has gotten most of the backfield work.
