Senate President Predicts Unions To Oppose Pension Reform Plan

There is an agreement on pension reform among the state’s political leaders that could save $1 billion a year after all.

Last week, after Governor Bruce Rauner announced a pension reform plan he said matched up with Senate President John Cullerton’s idea, the leading Senate Democrat quickly said the bill wasn’t his. However Tuesday, Cullerton clarified where those negotiations stand after talking with the governor.
