ILLINOIS IS ONE OF JUST FOUR STATES RECEIVING FEDERAL MONEY TO COMBAT DRUG-IMPAIRED DRIVERS.

 

THE 20 THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM THE FEDS WILL BE USED TO HOLD 10 POLICE CLASSES AROUND THE STATE SAYS ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SPOKESPERSON GIANNA URGO.

 

 

URGO SAYS THE STATE WILL SPEND THE 20 THOUSAND DOLLAR GRANT ON TEACHING POLICE OFFICERS HOW TO BETTER SPOT DRIVERS WHO MAY BE HIGH.

 

 

SINCE 2009…NEARLY 900 LOCAL POLICE IN ILLINOIS HAVE RECEIVED THIS KIND OF TRAINING.
