CHS Fishing Squad Qualifies For State Tournament

The Clinton High School fishing team is headed to the State Tournament this weekend.

Fishing Coach Jay Peterson explains the team took home the Sectional title and have qualified themselves to move on to the tournament at Carlisle Lake. He says it's been a pretty good year so far.

Peterson indicates each school is represented by up to two teams, and qualifying fish for weight have to be at least 12 inches. The team with the most weight in fish is the winner.

Peterson says it has been nice for the team to have some success and is looking forward to the state tournament this weekend.
