OVER INTENSE OBJECTIONS FROM REPUBLICANS, DEMOCRATS IN THE ILLINOIS HOUSE APPROVED A NEARLY 40 BILLION DOLLAR STATE BUDGET.

 

THE G-O-P IS SLAMMING THE SPENDING PLAN, SAYING IT'S SEVEN BILLION DOLLARS OUT OF WHACK. BUT DEMOCRATIC REPRESENTATIVE BARBARA FLYNN CURRIE SAYS THEY CAN'T AFFORD NOT TO TAKE ACTION.
