SOYBEAN PLANTING IS WRAPPING UP AS WE HEAR IN THE WEEKLY CROP REPORT.

 

96 PERCENT OF SOYBEANS HAVE NOW BEEN PLANTED…AND 88 PERCENT EMERGED WHICH IS VERY CLOSE TO NORMAL PROGRESS SAYS STATE CROP STATISTICIAN MARK SCHLEUSENER. ONE PERCENT OF SOYBEANS ARE BLOOMING.

 

 

38 PERCENT OF WINTER WHEAT HAS BEEN HARVESTED AND THE SECOND CUTTING OF ALFALFA IS NOW 17 PERCENT COMPLETE.

 

 

IT WAS A WEEK OF ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES AND IN MOST AREAS…BELOW AVERAGE RAINFALL SAYS STATE CROP STATISTICIAN MARK SCHLEUSENER.

 

AVERAGE STATEWIDE TOPSOIL MOISTURE DECLINED AND NOW STANDS AT FOUR PERCENT VERY SHORT…26 PERCENT SHORT…66 PERCENT ADEQUATE AND FOUR PERCENT SURPLUS.
