There were no injuries in a house fire in rural DeWitt County Monday afternoon that destroyed an abandoned home.
The vacant structure located 7837 Little Galilee Road in DeWitt County was found fully involved and nearly burned to the ground when Clinton Fire officials arrived on scene.
The call came in at approximately 2:45 pm Monday.
Clinton Fire officials indicate crews from Clinton, Maroa, Kenney and Wapella were called to the scene.
The home was declared a total loss, though it was uninhabitable prior to the fire.
Crews were on scene for approximately two and a half hours.
