The 2016 growing season has been pretty good, weather-wise, here in Illinois.
After early season fears of a hot, dry summer the La Nina failed to develop and we ended up with near record wet weather in July and August
Schmidt says the coming Labor Day weekend looks dry and mild, then a little more rain the first week or so of September followed by a pretty good chance of dryer, nearly ideal harvest weather from mid September through October.
