UPDATED: Clinton Police Investigating Monday Drive-By Shooting in Clinton

The Clinton Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting from late Monday night near downtown Clinton.
 
At approximately 8:15 pm Monday, authorities were called to the 400th block of South Center Street in Clinton for a report of shots fired.
 
Investigation by the police indicate four to six shots were fired from a semi-automatic handgun at intended victims standing outside.
 
No one was injured in the incident.
 
Police indicate they are seeking the whereabouts of 21-year old Shannon N. Shephard and 25-year old Michael A. Herald.
 
Police also indicate the vehicle was a maroon passenger car with dark tinted windows and a loud muffler.

The DeWitt County Sheriff's Department and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit are assisting in the investigation. 
 
UPDATED AT 9:45 AM:
 
Early Tuesday morning, Clinton Police arrested 25-year old Michael A. Herald on an aggrevated discharge of a firearm and attempted first degree murder. 
 
A second person of interest was taken into custody and released without charges.
 
Herald along with 21-year old Shannon N. Shephard were sought for firing a semi-automatic handgun near bystandards in the 400th block of South Center Street in Clinton at approximately 8:15 pm.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
