Your chance to buy in to the nation’s biggest lottery games is running out this week, at least in Illinois.
The state’s budget problems have pushed both Powerball and Mega Millions sales out of the state.
Powerball sales were cut off Thursday at 9 p.m. and Mega Millions sales will stop at 9:45 Friday night.
An official with the lottery commission that oversees the games says sales won’t begin again until the state passes a balanced budget.
