Clinton Fire Responds To Neighboring House Fires

Just after 12:30 am this morning, Clinton Fire Officials were dispatched a fire of neighboring homes at the corner of Johnson and Gibson Streets.
 
According to Fire Chief Jeff Hoke, the two homes were found to be fully involved when authorities arrived on scene. 
 
 
One fire was able to be brought under control but the other structure could not because of unsafe conditions.
 
 
Crews were still on scene until about 7 am this morning. Crews from Wapella, Kenney, Maroa, Hickory Point, Farmer City and Waynesville was on stand by at the Clinton Fire Station.
 
The State Fire Marshall will investigate the incident.
