The Illinois National Guard has deployed another C-130 cargo aircraft to points south to help with hurricane relief, this time in advance.
The Peoria based 182nd Airlift Wing sent a Hercules aircraft and its crew of seven to the U.S. Virgin Islands to help prepare for Hurricane Irma.
Last week, the unit sent a C-130 to Texas to help with relief efforts tied to Hurricane Harvey.
