Illinois Lawmaker Wants To Empower Downstate Coal Plants in 2018

State lawmakers are preparing for next year’s general session, and one central Illinois state representative wants to even the playing field for coal-fired power plants across the state.

Rep. Avery Bourne (R-Raymond) says she is working with many entities to help ensure downstate residents can still get the energy provided from coal plants.

The first day of session for the Illinois House is scheduled for January 16th.
