The state has an agreement with UBER over a 2016 data breach. Attorney General Lisa Madigan says that Illinois will get $8.5 million under the agreement. The data hack impacted drivers for the ride share service and the problem was UBER never told those affected by the breach.
If you drove for UBER at the time you can expect a $100 check for the data breach.
