October is national domestic violence awareness month and the DeWitt County DOVE is bringing back their annual candlelighting ceremony to honor domestic violence victims. Jennifer Tolladay with DOVE says the event is a way to show victims they have support and resources in these types of situations.

Tolladay says they light two candles at the event, each with their own significance.

The candlelight event is on Thursday, October 11th at 6 PM over at the Christ Lutheran Church in Clinton. It is open to the public and Tolladay encourges anyone to attend.
