Teacher shortage has been a problem in Illinois. To help with that State board has changed some of the requirements. In the past, someone needed a bachelor's degree in order to apply as a sub substitute teacher. Now anyone one with an associate's degree or 60 plus college credit hours can be a substitute teacher.
With the new change Superintendent, Dr. Kristen Kendrick-Weikle decided this would be a perfect opportunity to hire.
The job fair at Warrensburg-Latham will be taking place on Tuesday, October 16th, from 8 am to 2 pm at the district office. Dr. Weikle says that it will be open to all as an open house to let people come and ask any questions.
