'Upper level pattern' keeps weather cooler than normal for Illinois

Colder than average temperatures are expected over the next week to two weeks for much of Illinois. That’s the prediction from meteorologist Eric Schmidt with EJS Weather in Newton. 

Just over a week ago, temperatures were around 90 degrees in some parts of Illinois.
