Harvest Slows But Ahead of Last Year

Fall finally arrived in most of Illinois last week and that cooler and wetter weather has kept many farmers from harvesting the remaining corn and soybean crop. Mark Schleusener with USDA says the state didn’t see many days fit for field work. But the state is ahead of last year’s harvest pace.

A dryer week should allow those farmers shutout of field work the past week or so to resume.
