J.B. Pritzker is now the Governor of Illinois.
He was sworn in shortly after noon Monday at Springfeld's Bank of Springfield Center.
During the proceedings, the Governor referenced many items he pledged to pursue on the campaign trail, like legalizing recreational marijuana, boosting the minimum wage and seeking what he calls a fair tax system. Pritzker made reaffirmed in his address that the state needs to be more efficient and adjust the way it taxes income.
Pritzker also hosted the Inaugural Celebration Monday night at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
