Lincoln Police Department Begins 2019 with New Home, Fresh Future Outlook

The Lincoln Police Department will be celebrating one year in their much needed new location in 2019 and their leader also notes they will be looking at a fresh roadmap for the future as well.

The annual WHOW Hometown Tour stopped in Lincoln last week and Police Chief Paul Adams indicates they moved from a 12-hundred square foot facility to a 15-thousand square foot building. The building was formerly a school they purchased from the district after they consolidated two buildings.

Chief Adams indicates they updated their strategic plan in 2018 and they are going to make drug enforcement a big focus this year. He notes, that was something the community indicated they were concerned about.

Other guests from the Lincoln stop on the WHOW Hometown Tour were Mayor Seth Goodman, Fire Chief Mark Miller and Lincoln High School Superintendent Bob Bagby.

The Hometown Tour will next week shift to Piatt County and stop in Monticello and Cerro Gordo.
