Clinton Eagle's Women's Auxiliary Hosting Weekend Fundraiser For HOOAH Deer Hunt For Heroes

For a couple years now, the Eagle's Women's Auxiliary in Clinton has been a big supporter of the HOOAH Deer Hunt For Heroes and this weekend they are hosting a fundraiser for the group but also promoting a summer event for them as well.

Jean Rogers with the Eagle's Women's Auxiliary says their first BBQ competition over the summer was a huge success. She says they had 11 teams enter and raised over $5,000.

This weekend, the Eagles Women's Auxilary is hosting a pasta and salad fundraiser for the HOOAH Deer Hunt For Heroes. Rogers indicates they will also have representatives from HOOAH there and they will also be promoting their summer BBQ competition, set for late June.

HOOAH Deer Hunt for Heroes is a volunteer-based non-profit that seeks to bring veterans together with different outdoor activities and simply gives them an outlet to bond and connect with other veterans in an effort to reduce the suicide rate among veterans.

Saturday night's fundraiser will take place at the Eagle's lodge, which will be open to the public, starting at 6 pm and pasta will be served until 7:30 pm. Music entertainment will be provided by The Flatland Band. They'll take the stage at 7 pm and play until 10 pm.

Cost of the meal is by donation, which also gets you a raffle ticket for a gift basket.
