DeWitt County Substance Abuse Coalition Planning For Another Speaker To Come To Clinton

The DeWitt County Substance Abuse Coalition found great success in getting name recognition when Tim Ryan came to Clinton to give his testimony.

With that in mind and a focused effort to get their name out there more in 2019, the coalition is welcoming another speaker to DeWitt County later in February. Vice President of the Coalition, Paul Skowron indicates Andrew Dewey is a native of central Illinois, and he will be in Clinton to give his testimony of drug abuse and recovery.

Skowron says their date is set for February 25 at Clinton High School. Dewey is an individual he has heard speak before and says he's got an incredible story.

Skowron says the opioid epidemic is still a problem but he attributes gains in the overdoses decreasing to the drugs being issued by doctors as being more controlled.
