The annual WHOW Hometown Tour stops in Piatt County this week and Monday's stop was in the community of Cerro Gordo.

Local leaders talked about the things happening within their respective entities. Cerro Gordo Schools are in the midst of a significant remodel and add-on project at their aging facility on the south side of town. Superintendent Brett Robinson says that project is on schedule.

Come next fall, the school will have a lot of new features and upgrades, specifically in technology. Robinson explains technology plays an integral part in the learning process for today's youth.

Robinson says they are pleased with how smoothly things are going during the construction phase and is pleased with the way students and contractors are collaborating during the construction phase. He indicates there are pieces of the connecting addition they could gain access to this year.
