Legion Commander Seeking To Help Local Veterans

If you are a local veteran, the commander of the American Legion is hoping you'll reach out to him and let him know what you need.

Josh Thielen is the Commander of the Clinton American Legion and is a certified Veteran Service Officer. He recently has received his certification and explains he can help local veterans through a variety of means, both financial or otherwise.

From VA benefits to education benefits, Thielen indicates there are plenty of ways they can help, and that includes spouses of veterans. He believes every veteran can benefit from his help.

Thielen hopes veterans realize this more than just a financial assistance program. He explains they can provide emotional support for veterans that may be struggling, which is proving to be a growing trend in their community.

Thielen hopes to be approved as the Clinton Legion's Veteran Service Officer in May. To get in touch with him about more information, contact Thielen at 217-520-9823 or reach out to the Clinton American Legion on Facebook.
