With a special DeWitt County Board meeting coming up to decide the fate of a proposed wind project in DeWitt County, in house security is not going to be available as the location for this meeting shifts to Clinton High School.

Because of that, local authorities are preparing for any possible problems that might arise. Sheriff Mike Walker is not anticipating any problems but says just in case, they will have some of their staff on site.

While he anticipates a respectful audience, Sheriff  Walker hopes cooler heads prevail as a decision comes down Thursday on what has been a polarizing topic locally the last few years.

Clinton Police will be on standby in the event of any incidents.
