Today it was learned that Democrat Governor JB Pritzker, his wife - MK and his brother-in-law are under a federal investigation surrounding a property tax appeal at a mansion he owns in Chicago. 

The first report came from WBEZ in Chicago. It’s reported the probe started in October by federal authorities and continues today. The tax appeal in question is connected to toilets being taken out at a home that Pritzker owns – it was an issue during the campaign and might be one again. The Governor met with the media today.

In light of the investigation being made public the Republican Party of Illinois says Pritzker should drop his push for a graduated income tax.
