This Saturday is the National Take Back Initiative hosted by the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency.

The DEA holds the event as a way to raise awareness of collecting unused prescription drugs in your cabinets to keep those from getting into the wrong hands. Clinton Police Chief Ben Lowers indicates his department will be among those participating.

According to the Chief, they deliver hundreds of pounds of unused drugs to the DEA twice a year from those that drop off their drugs in their depository at the station.
