It's been more than a decade since the last F-16 Falcon Fighter Jet left the runways at Springfield's Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport. Members of the U.S. House and Senate from Illinois believe its time for military jets to return. The Springfield based 183rd Air National Guard fighter wing lost its jets after the Base Realignment and Closure Commission made a recommendation to transfer the jets last decade.
