When it comes down to the Presidential election, one Central Illinois Congressman says he thinks the United States will know the election day results on election day less than a week away.
U.S. Rep. Darin LaHood, who also serves as co-chair of President Donald Trump's reelection campaign in Illinois, says the results depend on election systems throughout the nation.
LaHood said the problem lies with states like California and Colorado that have ballot harvesting. In Illinois, ballot harvesting is illegal. However, ballot harvesting is legal in California.
So far, 61 million people have voted in the general election.
