Kenney Civic League Happy to Have Apple n' Pork Festival Back in 2021

Groups and organizations across the DeWitt County Museum and CH Moore Homestead grounds this last week weekend was ecstatic to have the annual Apple n' Pork Festival back in 2021.

Some groups, like the Kenney Civic League, did scaled-down sales of their foods last year. Charlotte Holland with the Kenney Civic League indicates sales from the annual festival go right back into the community in the form of events like its annual Kenney Fall Festival.

The turnout ended up being historic this year for the Apple n' Pork Festival but groups had to decide how much food to plan for. Holland indicates they planned for a normal Apple n' Pork Festival in 2021.

Holland credits the Kenney Civic League for its innovation in handling the pandemic through things like hosting meetings outside. She was very happy they were able to host their fall festival this year.

Holland and Debbie Rhoades are the contact points for the Kenney Civic League. Holland encourages contacting them to get signed up for the newsletter the Kenney Civic League sends out to people all over the country.
