McLean County Museum of History Hosting Ticketed Tours

The McLean County Museum of History is offering opportunities to learn about local history outside of the walls of the Old Court House.

Senior Director of Education Candace Summers told the Hart Media Group that there are several more walking and bus tours available for this summer. The first is the "Looking for Lincoln" downtown Bloomington walking tour on July 16th.

On August 1st, visitors can travel to the Illinois State University quad to learn about the institution's history. Summers will also be leading an architecture tour through downtown Bloomington on August 20th, diving into the history of the buildings and their builders.

Those who prefer riding over walking should take note of the museum's bus trips, like "Get Your Farm Kicks on Rt. 66." She says this tour will not only hit on ag, but will put a focus on the Rt. 66 Centennial as well.

We'll have more with Summers this weekend from the Hart Media Group on an America 250-themed art piece. In the meantime, learn more about all of these events at mchistory.org/events or by finding the museum on Facebook.
